We can learn something new
every time we believe that we can
- Virginia Satir
Supervision is such an important part of the process of being a therapist and I truly believe that as clinicians we should never stop learning and never stop growing in our practice - which includes supervision. Throughout my supervision time with clinicians and other supervisors, I have seen growth, increased insight, and improved self-esteem and confidence in their practice as therapists and supervisors.
I am an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Approved Supervisor and can offer clinical supervision in varying capacities and for various purposes:
In my practice as a clinical supervisor I adopt many of the same ideals that I utilize in my clinical practice. I approach supervision from a collaborative, empathetic and supportive place while also challenging my supervisees to continue to look at things differently. I help my supervisees to grow and learn about their clinical practice with clients while also challenging them into self-reflection and how their own history and values plays a role in their approach with client. I collaborate with my supervisees and encourage them to find their own answer which in turn facilitates their own growth. Being a supervisor is one of my favorite parts of being a therapist and I would feel honored to be a part of your therapy journey!
